Fiware Zone is a joint initiative launched in 2017 between Telefónica and the Andalusian Regional Government to support and promote Smart solutions in different sectors such as Smart Cities, Smart Ports, Smart Logistics, Industry 4.0, Smart Agrifood and e-Health, using the European FIWARE standard, all under the AndalucíaSmart strategy. This is a totally free initiative that helps companies and entrepreneurs to be more competitive and generate quality employment in the territory. 2 centres and 4 laboratories were created, and 20 pilot projects were launched.
